EMERGENCY SERVICES:
Automated External Defibrillator (AED): Our subdivision has an AED featuring “Real CPR Help”. It is in a weather proof box on the front porch of Jim and Lois Brown’s house at 633 Wildwood Trace. Please feel free to use it if such an emergency arises. Information and video can been seen at zoll.com. The Red Cross provides CPR and AED training. Go to the web to find the nearest class and dates. The AED provides step-by-step instructions for use.

Tims Ford Council (timsfordcouncil.org): An organization whose purpose is to protect the quality of the lake by working with the various agencies whose functions or services impact the lake. The Council meets quarterly and conducts programs that are informative to people that either live or boat on the lake. HWRHA members actively support the annual lake clean-up initiative.

AREAS OF INTEREST:
Fall’s Mill: Located in the Southwest corner of the county is great historical spot in the Community of Old Salem. This area was first settled in the 1700’s and was the hub of industry in the county. The only remaining mill, Falls Mill, still grinds grain by the old method, a water-powered grindstone, and there is a large working water wheel. There is a museum, tours of the mill, a store for purchase of stone-ground flour and meal, and grounds for walking along the stream and picnics. Martha Stewart recently toured and filmed the mill and bed-and-breakfast.
